It's at times like this I'm really glad I don't live in the american south!

Here's a copy of the email unedited so you can see what passes for an argument in the more religious corners of the United States!

(If you're wondering how I ended up on this mailing list, I signed a petition mentioned on Pharyngula some time ago and since then I've been getting several of these per week)

In case you don't know, the guy on the left is a businessman and a bully who contributed almost nothing original (Steve Wozniak did most of the innovative work on the early machines) and treated the developers who make his products useful like scum (Telling them what tools they can use, charging an initial fee, an annual fee and taking 30% of the profits from anything made while ensuring no other useful distribution channel is available)

The man on the right is Dennis Ritchie, the man who along with Brian Kernighan created the C programming language in which virtually everything useful is written to this day (and which largely eliminated the need to completely rewrite a piece of software every time it was needed on different hardware) and also the Unix operating system (on which MacOS, Android, Linux, BSD etc. are based and which allowed the first real multiuser computer systems thus ensuring a much larger number of people had access to a system in the early days than would otherwise have been possible)

Both these men died in October 2011 however a lot is heard about the man on the left and practically nothing about the man on the right.

Why is this?
