C64 improvements

The above is a Powerload/XE cable for 64HDD Pro.

It allows the loading of C64 games in about 3.5 seconds, compared to 20-25 seconds using the X-Loader or over two minutes using a bog standard 1541 (or the free 64HDD)

Unfortunately they generally take rather longer than 3.5 seconds to decompress and get past all the cracktros but I suppose you can't have everything.

Yes, that's stripboard housed in an old tape box, was going for function rather than aesthetics.

Another test video

Hihi

This time we have 10 seconds or so covering 2 hours of sky

Unfortunately we also have clouds rather inconveniently placed which I didn't notice but never mind...

720p this time (actually 1024x768 but Youtube doesn't seem to do anything but widescreen sizes now)

You'll probably want to play it in 720p, perhaps full screen for full quality (or as full as it can be after Youtube have compressed it to death)

Images are 40 second exposures at ISO200, 87 of them in all, at 9fps for ~10 seconds.
